Accommodation:

Australia thrives on tourism. Because of this you can get temporary accommadation basically anywhere (see pages of different stops to see listings and reviews of hostels). Most hostels around the country keep themselves in good condition, are good value and offer many valuable services to travellers.

If you plan on staying in an apartment or flat, accommodation can be harder to find. City newspapers such as The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age (in Melbourne) are excellent for accommodation listings, particularly at the weekends. Another way to find accommodation is through real estate agents.

Tip: Don't forget to have some references with you. Agencies sometimes require them. With determination you will eventually find a flat so don't give up if your first application is turned down.
